ELECTIVE PLACEMENT OF ABROAD NURSING STUDENTS IN SBV

Induction Program:

Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, constituent college of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, entered intoa Memorandum Of Understanding with IMC University of Applied Sciences KREMS, Austriain the presence of our Honorable Chancellor Shri.M.K.Rajagopalan, Dr. Gerhard Tucek, Director of Institute of Therapeutic sciences KREMS, Austria to have International collaboration for the promotion of Education and Research Activities with the objectives of  Student & Faculty Exchange Programme, Collaborative research work, sharing knowledge resources, Publications exchange, Observation visit and Internship/Elective placement programme.

In this regard, IMC University of Applied Sciences KREMS (German: IMC Fachhochschule KREMS), Austria had sent their first batch comprising of four Nursing students for elective placement to undergo clinical speciality training at Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College from 28.02.19 to 05.05.19.

An Induction programme was arranged to mark the beginning of the elective placement of abroad students on 28th February 2019 in the presence of Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice-Chancellor, SBV, Prof.A.R.Srinivasan, Registrar, SBV, Prof.Ravishankar, Dean, MGMCRI, Dr.Renuka.K, Principal, KGNC. Prof.Sumathy.P, Vice-Principal, KGNCwelcomed the incoming students. Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Vice Chancellor of SBV delivered the Chief Guest Address. In his address, he mentioned that the Elective placement aims to provide the sense of comfort and experiences of holistic learning in the areas namely Cardiology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology as long as they stay at SBV. Within this period of clinical training, they will acquire quality based clinical skills in advanced Nursing procedures and speciality care, empirical enquiry with patients, complementary and Alternative Medicine Therapy through CYTER, CMTER facilities. Also, they will get the professional experience in bringing quality patient outcome.
