Other responsibilities includes, Institutional research club coordinator - PhD nursing students, active member of BOS for PG and PHD, RMC and various committee, member secretary placement and higher education cell,Organizing secretary for Pediatric national conference, state level symposium and career guidance programme, Received Prof. K.R.Sundarajan Best Teacher Award by N.Shankar. International Director – Lions Club Chennai 2018, Awarded Kalvi Chemmal by Honorable Education Minister, Government of Pondicherry - 2018 at Karaikal , acknowledged Best Speaker by Madras medical college and received President and Governor Award for her NSS activities.A life member of TNAI and PSCAN. This is P.Sumathy Vice Principal and HOD Department of Child Health Nursing, KGNC. Joined this institution as an Assistant Professor in the year 2007. My career advancement include promotion as Associate Professor in May 2008, Professor in July 2013, and as Vice-Principal in 2018. Done my under graduation from Rani Meyyammai College of Nursing, Annamalai University in 1998 and post graduated from Sri Ramachandra University in 2003. Possess 18 years of teaching experience after PG and 20 years after UG. I have been serving as a Deputy Controller of Examinations (Nursing) SBV from 2013 to 2019. I was also the former Associate Dean Research of SBV for one year. Other additional responsibilities include – Institutional Nodal Officer for NIRF, Editor for Pondicherry Journal of Nursing, Member Secretary of Institutional Human Ethics Committee , convener of Curriculum Committee, etc., Recipient of gold medal for securing the highest aggregate of marks in UG, received the commendation certificate for commendable services from MGMCRI in 2011 and received the Eminent Faculty Award from SBV in 2020. Is a life time member in The Trained Nurses Association of India and Critical Care Nurses’ Society. Total number of publications in both National and International Journals are 19, and completed research projects are 6. Ongoing Research projects is 3 and currently guiding PG and UG students. I am Mrs Rajeswari S. My career started in KGNC in 2007 appointed as Lecturer. In 2011 had been promoted as Associate Professor and in 2018 promoted as Professor in the Department of Child Health Nursing. At present working as Professor in Child Health Nursing Department at Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth. I have Graduated from Rani Meyiammai College Of Nursing, Annamalai University in the year 1998. Pursued Masters in the field of Paediatric Nursing with the sub Clinical Speciality in Paediatric Critical Care Nursing from Meenakshi College of Nursing, MAHER University in the year 2007. My passion is teaching. Dedicated and interested nurse educator with 20 years of teaching experience. Committed to delivering effective instructional and theory background and helping to develop better clinical experience for nursing undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Focused on preparing each nurse candidate to be an effective health care provider for the future. Possess 14 years of research experience working with the multidisciplinary research team to research clinical and community settings. Supervise and mentor the junior nurses in their clinical roles and research projects. Underwent various training programs. I have been an examiner for various universities. I have been as delegate to various State, National and International Conferences and workshop. Has been a resource speaker for Various National and International conferences and Appointed as Observer for Workshops by Tamil Nadu Nurses Midwives council. I have been as Organizing secretary to Reginal Conference on Forensic Nursing. I have been recognized as THE BEST TEACHER by Puduvai Kavithai Vannil Kavi Mandrum and South India Community Association during International Women’s Day-2018 at Karaikal Ammaiyar Hall, Karaikal, and Puducherry. I have Published 10 article through National journals and five research article through International Journals. my area of research interest is Child Nutrition, Behavior pattern of Children and Learning The outcome of children. I have been published six copyrights and One Patent. I am very much proud to be a family member of KGNC under the umbrella of Sri Balaji Vidhyapeeth.

Caring for the basic needs of infant like feeding,medical procedures.Such as inserting intra venous lines , performing tests, administering medications, central line care ,respiratory care with ventilators and tube feedings . In PICU ,Provided bedside Care to child patient's with chronic orcritical illnesses or injuries in 20-bedded Paediatric unit . Assessed patient's, administered medications , maintained patient's records, family History and related documentation .I also acquired professional & technical knowledge by attending educational workshops ,building & maintaining good contacts with patients and their family members. I Am Sherin Nithya, graduated in 2004 With B.Sc(N) with RN &RM from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. University, Chennai. My first job after my graduation, I started my career as an Oncology Nurse at Apollo Onco Specialty Hospital, Chennai. I worked for about two years, those days I earned the art of promote patient care and recovery, improve staff wellbeing. There has been growing interest in using the arts of practical skill in therapeutic interventions. After those critical skilled learning period to upgrade my standard. In the year 2009 completed M.Sc(N) in Paediatric Nursing, from Apollo College of Nursing, Chennai, from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. University, Chennai. I joined as a Lecturer in M.A Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai. I handled third year Peadiatric students in that College. Later, I joined in KGNC as an Assistant Professor and worked for U.G , P.G Paediatric Nursing Students , Nursing Research , Nursing Education and Nursing Management. I always believe, becoming a Nurse is one of the most selfless acts a person can undertake. In a society of so many different races, cultures, customs, and beliefs, nurses are a universal gift to all, and the dedicated work that they do and kindness they deliver on a daily basis should serve as a reminder of the fundamental humanity inside us all. Over the past 14 years I realized being a Nurse is a real gift of God to serve the mankind. |
