The Department takes meticulous efforts in extending its support towards patient care services in the parent hospital and takes initiative in sustaining the quality and standards of practice in
all perspectives of patient care. The Department also focuses on the community areas by periodically conducting Health camps, Awareness programmes, Screening camps and surveys in the outskirts of Puducherry and Cuddalore targeting the high-risk population. The department also shows a keen interest in Evidence-Based Practice by triggering the research activities focusing on research thrust areas. Department motivates faculty and students to undertake copyright and patent work with unique process and patient care devices respectively. Our PG student and faculty had succeeded in getting five copyrights and one patent. The faculty had initiated technology transfer to commercialize the patented product for the wellbeing of the public. Thus the department stands at the forefront of SBV.
